A foreign student from Thailand to China, she really enjoys studying traditional Chinese culture and art.
She is full of love and curiosity about Chinese traditional culture and arts and ethnic customs, which have a long history with the traditional culture of my home country, Thailand. So she came to Qingyan Ancient Town in Guiyang, a town with 600 years of history, hoping to find the most charming non-traditional skills here.
In the Miao silver workshop in Qingyan Ancient Town, she had a cordial exchange with the silver artists, who patiently introduced to me the production process and design features of Miao silver jewelry. Through this first-hand experience, she gained a deeper understanding of the richness and exquisite skills of this ancient culture. Miao silver jewelry is not only an ornament, but also an important part of Miao culture, incorporating their beliefs, history and lifestyle.
In Guizhou, she not only discovered the uniqueness of Miao silver jewelry, but was also fascinated by the rich and colorful ethnic culture of this region. Guizhou has a large number of ethnic minorities, each with unique traditional costumes, dances, music and customs. She visited local folk villages, enjoyed wonderful performances and handicraft displays, and deeply felt the pride and love of Guizhou people for their culture.
Through this valuable experience, she gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of China’s non-traditional culture. She hope to have more opportunities to experience the ancient yet young Chinese NRM culture and explore more NRM skills and traditional arts in the future. She also hope to pass on this valuable experience and knowledge to more young people, so that they can understand and get to know the Miao silver jewelry in Guizhou, as well as the rich and diverse NRM culture in China. She believe that only through heritage and conservation can we let these valuable cultural heritages continue to shine brightly and bring more beauty and wisdom to the world.
