Survivors Share Stories, Unite in Hope at Online Summit
Los Angeles, CA, USA – June 20, 2023 – Michelle Jewsbury Speaks is launching a book collaboration, Breaking the Silence: Voices of Survivors. This anthology consists of 20 authors telling their survivor stories through hope and encouragement. Multiple volumes of the book are expected, with the first publication in December 2023 (the following year will have another publication).
In conjunction with the anthology, the authors have joined together to speak on a virtual summit, Breaking the Silence, on June 22, 11 am-6 pm EST. This free event will be a way for survivors to communicate with the audience that they are not alone and can overcome.
Authors involved with the summit and anthology include Mia Lanz, Elyse Howard, Trent Brock, Sue Bowles, Courtney Bates-Walker, Sarah Daniel, Janet Martin, Jan Canty, Stephanie Miller, Lena Cebula, Nicoll Norelli, Claudia Wassiczek, Morgan Guinn, Renita Gibbs, Lori Arbel, Nichole Myles, Tina Quant, Joseph James, Martha Kartaqui, and Michelle Jewsbury.
This groundbreaking event is designed to provide survivors with a platform to share their stories, empower others, and catalyze positive change. “We believe that every survivor deserves to be heard, and this summit aims to create a safe and supportive space where their voices can shine,” said Global Breakthrough Specialist and event coordinator, Michelle Jewsbury.
During this free event, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow survivors from around the world, forming a community built on understanding, empathy, and shared experiences. Together, the community can break down the barriers of shame and stigma that often surround trauma and abuse, fostering an environment of healing and empowerment.
The summit will be held online and will feature a variety of speakers, including survivors, advocates, and experts. The speakers will share their stories, discuss the challenges of speaking out, and offer advice on how to heal and move forward. The summit will also feature workshops on topics such as coping strategies, self-care, and legal rights.
The summit is free to attend and open to all survivors of trauma and abuse. Register online at https://bit.ly/3p61Hlb to be part of a movement that aims to empower, inspire, and create lasting change. “Together, we can shatter the silence, break down barriers, and foster a world where survivors are heard, validated, and supported,” added Jewsbury.
